About Ben Sabo

Nobody wants to be preached at—especially in fiction. Ben is a Catholic fiction author who writes for adults who might say more than “darn it” when they smash a finger, who enjoy a glass of whiskey or the occasional cigar, and who understand that faith is lived in the real world.

While his stories are rooted in a Catholic perspective, they’re written for adults of all Christian traditions—and for readers who aren’t Christian at all, but simply want an honest, compelling story.

Whether through stories about doubt, sin, and redemption, Ben’s goal is simple: Remind people that God isn’t who the judgy voices made Him out to be.

After 40 years in the Evangelical Protestant church, Ben converted to Catholicism. He enjoys discussions and respectful debates about faith, and he is available for speaking engagements and podcasts.

A published academic author, Ben is now stepping into the world of Christian fiction. He lives in Colorado with his wife, Stephanie, and their two boys. They hunt, fish, camp, and read as a family. Ben is a chiropractor, serves in his church, and teaches faith formation courses.
